Being used as a shooting range, Rainham marshes has been spared the urbanization that has removed almost all natural habitat around London. When the military ended their operation in the area it was decided that the marshes had to be preserved as a bird sanctuary.

The main aim in this project was to create a construction for birdwatchers and artists to experience the natural life without disturbing. The building is a log construction set right in between the reed and the water.
